The main characteristics of VMQ silicone rubber are that of maintaining good elasticity values even at extreme temperatures, in particular in pneumatic applications, where they are only slightly affected by the phenomenon of aging. However, they have little resistance to mechanical stress and are easy to extrude in the presence of high pressures. The characteristics of purity and non-toxicity make them particularly suitable for applications in the biomedical sector.
